Texas Rugby Results - Dec 6

Los Angeles, CA - The Austin Blacks spent time in the off-season working toward a goal for 2014-2015. That goal is to NOT repeat the middle-of-the-road season of 2013-2014. The Blacks set the tone for this coming Spring when they defeated the Pacific Rugby Premiership's Santa Monica Dolphins on the road.

The Blacks took the lead early and never relinquished it. A late charge by the Dolphins with a try in Full Time would not be enough. The Austin Blacks topped a PRP team, 33-31.

Congratulations Blacks on a fine win! This should be an exciting Red River Rugby Conference Division 1 season!

More scores at the break.

There were several Cross-Divisional matches held on Saturday.

Griffins' Managing Director Phil Camm had this to say about the pre-season matches:
We had the opportunity to try different combinations and get some of our new players some game time against decent opposition. Pre-season scores aren't always indicative of performance but we put out the entertaining, attacking style of rugby we're aiming for this season.
And LAST, but certainly not least, the Huns hosted an Old Boys match in which the Deadwood/HOBOs outscored the Silverbacks 43-5.
