Texas Rugby Results - Oct 10

Red River  College Rugby Conference

Oklahoma 45-24 Texas

Support and defense paved the way for the Sooners to top the 'Horns in the Red River Showdown under the lights at Glencoe Park in Dallas. Texas mounted a late surge, but it wasn't enough as Oklahoma was just firing on too many cylinders. KUDOS to the Dallas Harlequins for being great hosts and providing stands full of rugby fans. OU won the 2nd XV match 19-12.

Oklahoma travels to Texas Tech next weekend, while Texas hosts St Edward's for two matches.

Southwest Conference

Texas A&M 31-3 Texas State

Freshman Scrumhalf and Stars & Stripes HSAA, J.B. Brown, led the Aggies with four tries at the Penberthy Rec Sports Complex on A&M's West Campus. The Aggies' performance culture bounced them back from dual losses last weekend with aplomb.

Texas A&M travels to face the University of Houston next Friday night for a SWC match and their alumni, Old Maroon, in College Station the following Saturday. Texas State travels to Houston, as well, to face Rice in SWC action and Blinn College in LSC play.
