Coach Mills describes his thoughts on the new position and the 2014 - 2015 Competitive 15's Season
I am extremely excited and honored to be a part of the Houston Athletic Rugby Club.  The club has a proud tradition of which I hope to build on while here.  HARC will focus on skills, hard-physical play, and wide-open, expansive rugby.  My job is to instill a sustainable model of winning rugby.  We will do this by taking good care of our current players, expanding our recruiting efforts (both within and out of Houston), and providing a fun and winning environment in which all players can grow and reach their full potential as athletes and men.  While the competition within our division is extremely competitive, we are determined through hard-work, mental and physical preparation to put a highly-skilled, physical, and exciting team on the pitch and fight for a championship during the 2015 season.  I firmly believe we have the talent and experience to give our competitors a very exciting contest whenever we meet on the pitch.  I look forward to the season with a great deal of excitement and anticipation!”

About Houston Athletic Rugby Club (HARC) - Coach Mills comes to HARC at an exciting time for the Club. The HARC Women's side continues to develop, recently qualifying and participating in the 2013-2014 Division 2 Round of 8. Coach Martin Chalmers will continue to lead the Women further into playoffs next year. Both Men's sides saw continued growth and had competitive seasons as well. The Division 2 Men's side started the season with a 5 game win streak, while the Division 1 side proved to be a tough opponent in the division and came away with an upset victory over the very strong New Orleans Rugby Club (2013-2014 Division 1 National Finalist).
